Description

Jacaranda RMFM was started in 1994 as ‘Radio Maroela’ – a division of SABC’s Far North Broadcasting Services, utilising the Jacaranda Stereo network. When Jacaranda was privatised in 1997, RMFM became part of this new and exciting company and brought with it 28 000 listeners.

Today, Jacaranda RMFM boasts more than half a million listeners and is a premium station for advertising in the Capricorn, Bushveld and Lowveld areas of the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga.  Our world-class radio station sees itself as part of the region, reflecting Limpopo and Mpumalanga’s lifestyles.

We also place strong emphasis on ensuring that content is suited to its listeners. We do this through constant engagement to establish listeners’ needs and to tailor our programming to suit you. Jacaranda RMFM is an integral part of the community we serve. We host live broadcasts from festivals, shows and other events of interest, while daily promotions and competitions keep listeners entertained and winning!

In addition to private households, RMFM reaches hotels, restaurants, shopping centres and factories in all towns as well as the Kruger National Park and several private game reserves within its footprint.

RMFM is an exclusive medium for advertising in Limpopo and Mpumalanga. Most residents rely on radio for their daily information, entertainment and news as the vast majority of newspapers in the region are distributed once a week. Our listeners are loyal and are deeply involved in environmental affairs, nature conservation, community issues, agriculture and outdoor living.

We strive at all times to deliver a quality product that ensures listeners' 'feel good' experience is a positive one.

Jacaranda RMFM – taking ‘feel good radio’ to  560 000 loyal listeners in Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
