DescriptionVilliers Aqua Engineering are the sole manufacturer of the Poldaw wind pumps in Southern Africa. The Poldaw wind pump is manufactured under license from Neale Consulting Engineers in the UK. The Poldaw wind pump design has been aimed at the needs of developing countries. The design criteria were based on observations of problems and deficiencies associated with old traditional wind pump designs and also with some modern "appropriate technology" wind pumps. The Poldaw wind pump was tested in a wind tunnel against a wind speed of 180 km/h. The Workshop Manager is Hennie Vorster and the Sales & Admin. Manager is Friamie Vorster. Their motto has always been "OUR WORK IS OUR PRIDE" Their emblem consist of the Vorster Crest which depicts the origin of the Vorsters centuries ago when they were caretakers of the forests of the German Hierarchy.
